Meet Charlotte
Not only is my niece stinkin cute but she is going to be my subject matter as I learn Photoshop. How's this for inspiration? She was born August 22nd at 7 lb 2 oz and was 20 inches long. I am in love!

Charlotte's Nursery
My sister is having a baby, Charlotte Marie! Before this, I never attempted to recreate a painting. I loved the lambs I did before so I tried them again. This was also the first time I remember painting on a flat canvas so small (8x10). It has its challenges but can be done so quickly without using many materials. I think I could get used to this. The frame Carol purchased in Jackson. I think the painting and frame compliment each other so well and it will look WONDERFUL in the nursery (send pictures, Carol)!

One sheep, two sheep
I made some finishing touches on the painting tonight and I really think I will leave it as is. It has to be shipped within the month, after all. Gosh, I have missed this! I keep trying to find my niche (and ones I enjoy). These type of paintings may be it!

New Painting: One sheep, two sheep
I started a new painting this weekend. Cara, one of my post college friends who now lives in Nashville, asked if I would paint something for her American Cancer Society silent Auction on April 15th. (She is president of the Junior Board. I am so very proud!) I am so flattered she thought of me. I needed a little motivation lately to get back to my art room.
The background on this painting goes back to last fall when I visited Virginia Tech. They have several fields of sheep associated with the agricultural school. They were around the corner from my hotel. I can still hear the lambs. It was amazing. Have you ever seen a flock of baby lambs run? You need to.
