As they say... "One man's trash is another man's treasure!"

This post is about a painting I had done in college for a class project. I got the idea from a picture I took at night with different camera settings. I had the painting on my blog slideshow when Allison saw it and wrote me asking all about it.

Funny thing was...I was not sure what happened to that painting. I was never fond of it and in the past I always toyed with the idea of throwing paintings away rather than moving them. To make a long story short, my mother unearthed it from my closet at home under a piles of old clothes and give away items. It will now find a home in Allison and Michael's new house. How exciting?! I touched it up tonight and, you know...it isn't that bad after all. I wonder what else I have hiding in closets...

And it's done...

I got to finish this tonight! I say "finished" but I never know when I am finished. I go back and touch up constantly till it either dries or I get rid of it. Now it has a month to dry! :) Not sure what to title it. I am going to start to think of that now...after I go to bed!

Change of Subject: Rehearsal Dinner Boquets

This was a little side project tonight. Nancy now has a rehearsal dinner boquet. And it is pretty darn cool if I may so myself! (Nancy, if you are reading this dont kill me for putting up your pic but it is too cute!)

4 Beach Glamour Girls

Ok, so I began a new project today in my art/guest room. (May I add that I painted while I watched my first episode the bachelor this year...and my last. That guy is the least sincere bachelor they could have chosen and it is obvious of his intentions. I will continue to boycott.) The receiver of this painting is going to be super surprised to receive this...being one of my bestest friends who has not received a painting from me... ever! Here it is after one night. The quality isn't great since I took it with the blackberry....

Growing Up with the Scarbrough Girls

This is not an art project or really even my own material. But I thought it still deserves a post because of all the work that went into making it happen the past year! It was an idea a Christmas or two ago - to surprise my Dad and finally publish the short stories he has written throughout our childhood. Jill helped make it happen and with Carol's support and Mom's help from home we got it done. (I am the one on the far right. My middle sis, Carol, is on the very left. Little sis Jill is the one in the middle.) Just today I noticed it is for sale at Barnes N Noble. Pretty cool, huh? The publisher, Xlibris, also has it on their website!
